POSITION DETAILS
Job Title: Stainless Steel TIG Pipe Welders
Pay Rate: $22 - $30
Location: Raleigh, NC
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour days, sometimes 10-hour days
Start Date: ASAP

SCOPE OF WORK
• Perform stainless steel TIG pipe welding on various pipe diameters and wall thicknesses
• Conduct coupon tests on-site to verify weld quality
• Follow safety protocols, including harness and lanyard use, PPE, and safety procedures (CCS will provide)
• Maintain proper heat and interpass temperature management
• Use argon purge gas to prevent oxidation during welding
• Read and interpret weld symbols, isometric drawings, and pipe schematics
• Record and maintain weld logs as required

REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of 6 years of experience required
• Must complete ladder and fall protection safety (CCS will provide)
• Extensive TIG welding experience on stainless steel pipe, especially in the 6G position
• Ability to perform quality welds with clean, consistent root passes
• Knowledge of back purging and weld symbol interpretation
• Reliable and able to work the required schedule

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Experience with various pipe wall thicknesses, including Schedule 10S and 40S
• Combo welding experience (TIG root / stick or wire fill) on carbon and stainless steel
• Certification such as AWS D1.6 or ASME Section IX
• Prior work under CWI inspection with weld log maintenance
• Orbital welding experience, common in pharmaceutical and food processing industries
• OSHA 10 certification (CCS can supply)
