Safety Technician (EM-385 Certified) – Box Elder, SD

CCS Construction Staffing is seeking an experienced Safety Technician with an active EM-385 certification for a military project in Box Elder, SD. This role requires a safety professional who can effectively enforce protocols, ensure compliance, and communicate safety standards clearly on an active commercial/industrial jobsite.

This is a full-time assignment, 50 hours per week. Applicants must be able to maintain compliance with all site safety requirements.

Scope of Work

Enforce all company and site-specific safety policies and procedures
Ensure all personnel are compliant with EM-385 standards
Conduct routine hazard inspections and identify potential risks
Lead toolbox talks in clear, easy-to-understand language
Maintain accurate documentation of safety meetings, inspections, and incidents
Assist with incident reporting and corrective actions
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture on-site

Requirements

Active EM-385 Certification (Required)
Previous construction safety experience preferred
Strong knowledge of jobsite safety practices and hazard recognition
Ability to communicate effectively with crews and management
Ability to commit to 50 hours per week
Reliable transportation
Remain drug-free on the jobsite
