POSITION DETAILS
Job Title: Data Center Electrician
Pay Rate: $24-$35/hr
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 4 10s and 2 8s, starting at 6am
Start Date: ASAP

SCOPE OF WORK
• Install and terminate electrical systems supporting data center operations, including switchgear, transformers, UPS, PDU, RPP, and generators
• Install conduit, cable tray, grounding, and bonding systems, and power distribution wiring
• Pull, route, terminate, and test feeder, branch, and control wiring
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, BIM models, and construction specifications
• Assist with startup, testing, commissioning, and energization activities
• Perform electrical troubleshooting using meters, testing equipment, and diagnostic tools
• Support installation of mission-critical electrical infrastructure requiring high reliability and uptime standards
• Ensure all work complies with NEC requirements, client specifications, and quality standards
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, inspections, and test results
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, foremen, engineers, and commissioning teams
• Identify and resolve installation issues while maintaining project schedules
• Mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians
• Follow all safety policies and participate in daily safety briefings and job hazard analyses

REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of 5 years of commercial, industrial, or mission-critical electrical experience
• Must complete ladder and fall protection safety (CCS will provide)
• Journeyman Electrician License where required by jurisdiction
• Experience installing electrical power distribution systems in data centers, industrial facilities, or large commercial projects
• Strong understanding of NEC requirements and electrical construction practices
• Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and one-line diagrams
• Proficient with electrical testing instruments, including multimeters, megohmmeters, and continuity testing devices
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous experience working on hyperscale data center projects
• Experience with UPS systems, backup generators, medium-voltage distribution, switchgear, grounding, and bonding systems, and electrical commissioning
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience working in BIM/VDC-driven construction environments
• Strong understanding of commissioning and turnover processes

Physical Requirements
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Climb ladders, work from elevated platforms, and access confined spaces
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods in active construction sites
• Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hard hats, gloves, arc-flash protection, and fall protection equipment

Work Environment
• Active data center construction sites and mission-critical facilities
• May require shift work, overtime, weekends, and travel based on project needs

Must complete ladder and fall protection safety (CCS will provide).
