Position Details
Job Title: Commercial & Residential Lead HVAC Mechanics
Pay Rate: $25 - $32
Location: Lawrence, Indiana
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 5 - 8s shifts, Monday through Friday with occasional evening or weekend work
Start Date: ASAP

Scope of Work

• Install commercial and residential HVAC systems, including split systems, rooftop units, boilers, chillers, and walk-in coolers
• Service refrigeration piping, condensate piping, and mechanical supports
• Perform startup and commissioning of systems following manufacturer procedures
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and project plans
• Coordinate equipment rigging, leveling, and alignment
• Install ductwork, piping modifications, and system components as per project specifications
• Complete electrical disconnects, lock-out/tag-out, and electrical terminations safely
• Ensure installations meet all code and manufacturer standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional jobsite environment
• Assist with field quoting, material takeoffs, and purchase orders as needed
• Mentor less-experienced team members and support team leads in project oversight

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant HVAC and mechanical experience required
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, piping, electrical fundamentals, and system installation
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics accurately
• Skilled in equipment rigging, piping, ductwork, and system startup procedures
• Proficiency with documentation, Microsoft Office, and ServiceTitan preferred
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable record
• OSHA 10 Hour certification required (CCS can Supply); OSHA 30 preferred
• EPA Universal Certification preferred; Core or Type II certification desired and expected to be obtained
