Work Scope
Mechanics will be working on commercial HVAC projects in Columbus, OH.

Duties include:

• Installing sheet metal ductwork

• Installing VAV boxes

• Installing 16-gauge mild steel grease duct to two kitchen hoods (no welding required)

• Installing aluminum spiral exhaust duct to a dishwasher exhaust hood

• Hanging ductwork using toggle/trap-ease style gripple wire from soundboard (¾” plywood and 5/8” sheetrock)

• Working from mechanical drawings and layout instructions

• Coordinating with other trades on site

Commercial HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of commercial sheet metal experience REQUIRED

• Basic knowledge of installing sheet metal duct systems and VAV boxes

• Experience with grease duct and spiral exhaust duct installation

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints

• Must supply own tools, including:

  • Basic hand tools

  • Drill

  • Minimum 5/16” driver for screws

  • Left and right snips

  • Wire cutters

  • Hammer

  • Flat screwdriver

  • Hand brakes

  • Any additional tools needed to perform the work efficiently

• Must have ALL PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, work boots)

• Must be able to pass any required background checks or drug screenings

• Reliable transportation required

• Professional attitude and strong work ethic
