Project Manager – Job Description & Overview of Responsibilities

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing commercial construction projects in Charleston, SC, with duties including but not limited to:

• Managing the job site and overseeing all project operations
• Ensuring each project is completed on time and on budget, in compliance with building codes, plans, and specifications
• Reviewing project schedules and communicating estimated completion timelines with project crews
• Coordinating schedules and workflow with the General Contractor and other related trades
• Reviewing weekly goals and expectations with project crews and subcontractors to ensure tasks are completed
• Serving as the company liaison between the General Contractor and Hospitality Services
• Scheduling and directing project crews and subcontractors
• Maintaining punch-list documentation through project closeout
• Identifying, writing, and submitting complete Change Order Requests in a timely manner
• Ensuring all Change Order Requests are approved by Hospitality Services and signed by a GC representative prior to starting work
• Managing document control for change orders, correspondence, drawings, specifications, and closeout reports via email
• Managing project materials, company equipment, and tools
• Creating daily reports and submitting them to the Project Manager and Senior Management
• Providing inventory counts as requested
• Developing communication strategies for conflict resolution
• Reporting all project issues directly to the Project Manager and Hospitality Services Senior Management
• Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
• Maintaining current customer business relationships
• Completing other relevant tasks as assigned by direct supervisor

• Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, and jobsite coordination
• Experience working directly with General Contractors and subcontractors
• Ability to manage documentation, reporting, and change orders accurately
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to resolve conflicts and manage multiple priorities
• Professionalism and accountability at all times
