Work Scope:
Job Summary: The Fabrication Pipefitter Foreman is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the pipefitting fabrication crew to ensure timely, accurate, and quality-driven completion of mechanical assemblies. This position requires intermediate-level expertise in pipefitting, welding techniques, blueprint interpretation, and leadership. The foreman must be able to plan layouts, fit and assemble metal components, perform tack and full welds, inspect work for accuracy, and guide team members in all aspects of fabrication.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, reliability, and a willingness to mentor others, while maintaining a positive attitude in a physically demanding environment that may include outdoor exposure and elevated workspaces.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise a team of 2–6 fabrication pipefitters and welders in the shop.
• Interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and measurements to plan and execute accurate layouts.
• Oversee and perform fabrication and assembly of pipe systems and structural components.
• Weld and fit small and large components such as beams, supports, pipe racks, and industrial piping assemblies.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety requirements.
• Use specialized machinery for industrial pipe fabrication and welding operations.
• Inspect welded and fitted assemblies for quality, precision, and conformance to drawings.
• Maintain and repair fabrication tools, machinery, and welding equipment as needed.
• Enforce safety regulations, including the use of heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, eyewear, and safety footwear.
• Monitor machinery for correct usage, temperature, and operation during welding and cutting tasks.
• Weld and fit components in flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
• Coordinate with project managers, shop supervisors, and field foremen to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Train and mentor team members to improve skills, safety awareness, and production efficiency.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 5 years of pipefitting or welding experience in a fabrication or industrial setting
• Prior supervisory or foreman-level experience preferred
• Valid welding or pipefitting certification from an accredited institution a plus
• Excellent knowledge of fabrication machinery, welding tools, and pipefitting techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and detailed isometric drawings
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to safety
