Position Summary:
CCS Construction Staffing is hiring an Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent and Project Manager in completing a hospitality project in Melbourne, FL. The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for job site safety, quality, organization, documentation, and coordination, reporting directly to the Superintendent and Project Manager.

Essential Functions:

• Assist Superintendent with managing job site safety, quality, and schedule for assigned project through closeout.

• Ensure Hospitality Project Services standards of quality and safety are met.

• Work collaboratively with Project Manager, project team members, and field staff.

• Represent Hospitality Project Services in a professional manner at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing the field and project team successfully and collaboratively.

• Establish and maintain positive and effective communication with Project Manager, project team, subcontractors, and community stakeholders.

• Assist with job site logistics, site organization, and field coordination.

• Coordinate subcontractors, building inspections, subcontractor inspections, and agencies.

• Perform daily job site walks with the Superintendent and submit daily reports.

• Conduct and/or attend site meetings.

• Assist with the management of job site manpower production and performance.

• Perform other related duties as needed, including:

  • Organizing materials

  • Picking up trash

  • Sweeping

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Foreman or equivalent role in the construction industry.

• Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred but not required.

• Strong understanding of construction industry practices, job site safety, planning and scheduling, building trades, and sequence of work.

• Ability to read plans and specifications.

• Proficient in relevant technology.

• Key competencies: initiative, communication, teamwork, and dependability.

• Variable Reach Forklift Certification required.

Schedule:

• Minimum 40 hours per week.

• Typical schedule Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday, depending on project needs.
