Foreman Electrician 

Location: Como, TX
Direct Hire | Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Foreman Electrician (JW) to join and help lead our commercial construction team on a large school project. The Foreman will oversee crews while also working hands-on in the field, ensuring all electrical installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), project specifications, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate the work of journeymen, apprentices, and helpers on site.

  • Install, bend, and secure EMT, Rigid, and other types of conduit using hand, mechanical, and hydraulic benders.

  • Pull, route, and terminate electrical wire and cabling (low and high voltage) per drawings and NEC standards.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to plan and assign work.

  • Install and connect panels, switchgear, lighting systems, receptacles, and devices throughout the facility.

  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of circuits, wiring, and electrical systems.

  • Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and code compliance requirements.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment.

  • Provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and technical guidance to team members.

  • Communicate progress, issues, and needs with project management and general contractors.


Qualifications

  • Current and valid Journeyman Electrician License (state-recognized).

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Foreman on commercial projects.

  • 4+ years of commercial electrical experience (school, hospital, or institutional projects preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of conduit installation, wiring methods, and NEC compliance.

  • Proven ability to lead and manage crews effectively.

  • Ability to safely use power tools, hand tools, lifts, and ladders.

  • OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.

  • Must pass pre-employment screenings (background, drug/alcohol, etc.).


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and work from aerial lifts.

  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Stand, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
