Service Technician Lead – HVAC
Location: Charlotte, NC (Relocation Assistance Available)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician Lead to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This leadership role is ideal for a candidate with 10–15 years of experience in commercial HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. The Service Technician Lead will ensure optimal system performance, mentor the service team, and uphold the highest standards of customer service and safety. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and perform installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC systems.

Conduct advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve system issues efficiently.

Oversee routine inspections and preventive maintenance programs.

Respond promptly to service calls while ensuring professional customer interactions.

Mentor and provide technical guidance to service technicians, promoting team development and best practices.

Collaborate with leadership and service coordinators to set team goals and meet customer needs.

Maintain a strong focus on safety, including proper PPE use and jobsite hazard awareness.

Review and ensure accuracy of daily service documentation for billing and reporting purposes.

Assist with parts ordering and equipment procurement to maintain workflow efficiency.

Support sales initiatives through job site surveys, customer relationship building, and estimating input.

Utilize vendor and OEM apps/software for troubleshooting, part identification, and training team members.

Maintain an up-to-date library of HVAC product knowledge to support team performance.

Participate in on-call rotation as required.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
10–15 years of HVAC experience, including commercial systems.

Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, components, diagnostics, and repair methods.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a service team.

Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

EPA certification (or ability to obtain).

Ability to lift and carry heavy tools and equipment.

Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
