Looking for local candidates to Charlotte, willing to travel, most work in the Charlotte area

CCS Construction Staffing is now hiring Firestop Carpenters to join a traveling crew based out of Charlotte, NC. Candidates must meet at the Charlotte warehouse daily and travel to job sites throughout North and South Carolina. This is a hands-on, active field role that restores fire/smoke containment in walls, ceilings, and floors of large commercial buildings.

If you’re dependable, detail-focused, and can travel up to two nights per week, this is a great opportunity with temp-to-perm potential for long-term work.

Scope of Work Includes:

• Restoring fire and smoke barriers in commercial buildings

• Applying firestop products in walls, ceilings, and floors

• Working from heights using lifts and ladders

• Using hand tools (drills, caulk guns, spatulas, pumps, measuring tape)

• Following precise installation instructions and safety protocols

• Supporting team-based tasks across job sites throughout the Carolinas

Requirements:

• Basic commercial construction knowledge

• Comfortable working at heights and lifting 45+ lbs

• Reliable transportation to daily warehouse check-in in Charlotte

• Willingness to travel 1–2 nights per week (hotels covered)

• Must pass E-Verify, background check, and 10-panel drug screen

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to safety

• Prior firestop experience is a plus — but the client is willing to train the right candidate
