Commercial Electrician (Licensed Journeyman)

Work Scope
This position is responsible for performing electrical wiring duties in a commercial/industrial/institutional (healthcare) setting with relatively little supervision. The primary focus will be underground duct bank work for a hospital expansion.

Duties include:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings

• Installing conduit and cable tray

• Coordinating and setting up large cable pulls

• Installing switchgear, distribution panels, transformers, fire alarm, and control systems

• Working with large PVC duct banks

• Performing large conduit runs and large wire pulls

• Setting manholes

• Performing additional electrical duties related to general construction operations

Commercial Electrician Requirements

• Licensed Journeyman Electrician REQUIRED

• TDLR Card on file REQUIRED

• Strong commercial/industrial electrical experience

• Healthcare project experience is a plus

• Proven experience with underground duct banks

• Experience with large PVC, large conduit runs, and large wire pulls

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Must bring all required electrical hand tools

• Must have ALL PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, work boots)

• Must be able to pass any required background checks or drug screenings

• Reliable transportation required

• Professional attitude and strong work ethic
